Tonight on What’s UP with Megan, it’s official – Summer is gone and we are in the fall trenches.
With the changing of the season, the Marquette Farmers Market is transitioning from its summer market format to farm stands.
Visitors of the Marquette Saturday Morning Farmers Market have enjoyed a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods, and artisan products. However, with the cooler months approaching, vendors and organizers are adapting to the season.
The farm stand version of the Marquette Farmers Market will feature just farmers, popping in to sell the remaining fall harvest produce like squash, potatoes, and apples, as well as preserved goods such as jams, jellies, and turkey. Additionally, some vendors will offer winter subscription services, allowing customers to receive a regular supply of goods throughout the winter months.
For those interested in supporting local vendors, the farm stands will be open this Saturday, November 9th and November 16th from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Marquette Commons. Visit the full Marquette Farmers Market schedule at mqtfarmersmarket.com.
