ST. IGNACE, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) St. Ignace Welcome Center on northbound I-75 will be closed beginning Oct. 8 while the restrooms are upgraded and interior painting is done. There will be no access to the parking lot. The facility is expected to reopen by Nov. 14.
Nearby MDOT facilities travelers can use during the closure include the Mackinaw City Welcome Center 6 miles south, along with the Sault Ste. Marie Welcome Center 60 miles north. A number of MDOT rest areas and roadside parks are also nearby.
