MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Marquette County Planning Division held a “Dialogue Dinner” at Barrel and Beam on Thursday to discuss a new “climate action” plan for Marquette County
Some of the focus was on waste management, water quality, sustainable tourism, and affordable housing.
Quinn Thibault the Marquette County climate adaptation coordinator said they want to make sure all voices in the community are heard.
“Coming together as a community is super important, making sure all of our voices are heard,” said Thibault. “It’s every community member in the county’s action plan, so making sure that we’re hearing their voices and incorporating that into the plan.”
A timeline for the climate plan is not yet set as they are currently in the drafting phase.
