MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Marquette County Fair was held over this weekend with the Junior Livestock Auction being held on Saturday. This event has been part of the County Fair since the start and always brings crowds.
This livestock auction is open to ages 18 and younger, it auctions steers, hogs, lambs, goats, rabbits, and chickens. Most participants come with a team, family, or support team. A first-time auction participant came with his grandpa and sold his steer for 5 dollars.
“It’s just bringing the cows and you can get some that are nice and some that are not,” said Clay Johnson, auction participant.
