BIG BAY, Mich (WZMQ) – On Saturday, March 23rd, veterans and organizations from all over the U.P. gathered at the Thunder Bay Inn to sit down, enjoy lunch together, and conversate about the different organizations and what they offer. These events are common due to the veteran’s community importance of community.
This wholesome event was a time for people of all ages, friends and family came to honor their services. With organizations like (fill in the name) offering services from mental health to just life and financial support. This event helps connect organization to veterans to eliminate the searching or finding process.
As Public affairs and official for Oscar Johnson medical center shared how much these events mean to their communtiy, “The old saying verts do better in groups well thats been spread and now there are organization that are just based off of that and they put on events like this, we’ve got a handful of soild organizations here”.
