IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – In Dickinson County, a recent addition to Iron Mountain High School’s blossoming Environmental Club took center stage as students unveiled their visionary plans for the upcoming school year. Benjamin Truong, a high school junior at Iron Mountain School District, emerged as a proactive force in the club, brimming with fresh ideas.
This forward-thinking student directed his focus towards a bold initiative: to amplify the number of events orchestrated by the club throughout the academic year. His determination was unswerving as he set out to supercharge the club’s event roster. With a fervor to revolutionize the club’s approach to managing natural resources, he embarked on a mission that promised to reshape the school’s ecological stance. Drawing inspiration from the enthusiastic upperclassmen, he plunged into action, energetically rallying more participants to the cause.
In an interview, when asked what he hopes to bring to the club as a new member, Truong expressed his drive for action this year, stating, “More change, because seeing that this year there were many seniors in the club that have seen change, and they’ve admitted to seeing lots of change in the school forest, so I would like to provide more change like that.”
