KINGSFORD, Mich. (WZMQ) – In Dickinson County, a highly anticipated drive-in movie event, organized by the newly established Iron Mountain non-profit “The Cure,” has been rescheduled due to unfavorable weather conditions. The event, originally scheduled for tonight at Kingsford High School, was intended to raise funds for local teen advocacy programming.

The decision to reschedule the drive-in movie event was made after careful consideration of the safety and comfort of the attendees. With inclement weather conditions predicted for the evening, the organizers deemed it necessary to postpone the fundraiser.

However, the disappointment caused by the rescheduling was quickly replaced with excitement as “The Cure” announced the new date for the event. The drive-in movie, featuring the beloved classic film “The Sandlot,” will now take place this Saturday at 7 PM Central Time. The location remains unchanged, with Kingsford High School’s parking lot serving as the venue.

The rescheduled event promises to be a memorable evening for the community, as families and friends gather to enjoy a nostalgic movie experience under the stars. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own snacks, blankets, and chairs to make themselves comfortable during the screening.

“The Cure” expresses their gratitude for the understanding and support of the community amidst the rescheduling. They remain committed to their mission of supporting local teens and advocating for their well-being. The funds raised from this event will go towards crucial programming that aims to provide resources, guidance, and mentorship to the youth in the area.

As anticipation builds for the upcoming weekend, residents are eagerly looking forward to the drive-in movie fundraiser. With “The Sandlot” as the featured film, attendees can expect a heartwarming story about friendship, teamwork, and the love of baseball.

Those interested in attending the rescheduled drive-in movie event are advised to keep an eye on “The Cure’s” social media platforms and official website for any further updates or changes. The organization remains committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, rain or shine.

So mark your calendars, gather your loved ones, and get ready for a night of entertainment while supporting a worthy cause. The drive-in movie fundraiser, now taking place this Saturday at 7 PM Central Time at Kingsford High School’s parking lot, promises to be an unforgettable event for the community.
