MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Residents of Marquette might have noticed something a little out of the ordinary on Wednesday parked in the lower harbor park.
For the first time this season a cruise ship made port in Marquette and welcomed 78 passengers into the town. The 300 foot Ocean Navigator, an American Queen Voyages ship docked early this morning and is expected to leave the harbor at 7 p.m. tonight.
The ship is on a 17 day journey that started in Chicago and has made stops everywhere from the Soo to Thunder Bay.
“It’s such beautiful weather, it’s wonderful,” Remarked Connie Lagerstrom, a passenger onboard the Ocean Navigator.
The ship will make a stop in Houghton on Thursday morning.
