MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Local artists and community members had a chance to make their voices heard tonight about the future of public art in Marquette.
For the first time the office of arts and culture in Marquette held a state of the arts at Ord Dock Brewing company. The event aimed to bring together artists, businesses to provide input on current and future public art projects.
The city is nearing the end of its 10 year arts and culture master plan and is working to craft a new plan that will coincide with the city wide masterplan.
If you missed the event tonight, don’t worry, according to organizers they are planning to hold two to three more events similar to tonight’s state of the arts this year.
