MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – NMU held its annual health fair Tuesday at the Northern Center for students and staff.
Participants were able to sample healthy foods, win prizes and interact with agencies that support health and wellbeing. Over 30 organizations from NMU and the Marquette community highlighted the resources available to students and staff. They also gave some helpful tips on how to properly take care of your health.
Elise Bur, the director of NMU’s center for rural health, said “a lot of people don’t think about [their health] until somethings wrong, and it’s a good time to actually look for something when you don’t need help in advance.”
