A slowly churning low pressure system arrives overnight Friday into Saturday with showers expected for Saturday morning. More clouds showers linger for Saturday afternoon, especially for eastern portions of the U.P. Sunday features a cooler wind from the north with more rain expected. Some showers could produce heavy rain and possibly a few rumbles of thunder. Flash flooding will be possible as well, so be sure to heed all warnings and take caution while driving. Off and on showers continue Sunday night into Monday, with the storm system taking until Wednesday to move out of the region. Low temperatures in the upper 40s and high temperatures in the middle 50s can be expected Saturday through Monday as clouds and showers won’t allow temperatures to change much. Generally light winds are expected this weekend as well, and with the gray conditions; it could be a great weekend for fishing!
Happy first weekend of fall!
