WZMQ 19 is the Upper Peninsula’s home for CBS (19.2) and MeTV (19.1).

The station signed on the air in early 2003 and became a MeTV affiliate in 2011 and CBS in 2022.
The station launched live, local news from downtown Marquette on Oct. 3, 2022. WZMQ 19 News airs weeknights at 6 and 11 p.m. WZMQ provides news, weather and sports updates 24/7 on WZMQ19.com, the free WZMQ 19 mobile app and social media.

A. Yes. WZMQ uses the branding slogan, “This Is Home” to help demonstrate our commitment to the community. WZMQ purchased and renovated a historic building at 142 W. Washington in Marquette in 2022. The station operates with digital technology and a completely new studio to present local news and weather. WZMQ was recognized with the “best newscast” award from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters in 2023 and in 2024 received the top award for “Best Weather” in the Upper Peninsula. WZMQ provides airtime to support several local non-profit organizations and supports local events and celebrations through sponsorships and unique partnerships.
