Culvert replacement work on M-123 over Otto/Brant Creek in Luce County will start Aug. 22, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).
Work includes scour countermeasures, riprap, guardrail, signing, and approach work.
One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained on M-123 using traffic signals on a temporary bypass road. A lane width restriction of 12 feet will be in place during the project.
The work, which is expected to cost about $2 million, is expected to wrap up Nov. 12.
This project will improve safety for drivers and extend the life of the roadway.
