After record low temperatures this morning, temperatures tonight will hover in the upper 50s in many locations with increasing cloudiness. Expect a good mix of sun and clouds peninsula wide for the day tomorrow, and southern portions could see a few afternoon showers and thunderstorms. The greatest threat for rain will be in locations in and around Escanaba and Iron Mountain. Models have been holding off for the most part on the shower and storm potential for Saturday afternoon and evening, and I would say there is just an isolated chance for a pop-up shower or thunderstorm. Fair weather and above average temperatures can be expected over the next several days, and our next best rain chance comes on Tuesday. After a cold start today, enjoy the warmth making its way into our area just in time for the weekend!
