A few severe thunderstorms will be possible this evening across western and central portions of the U.P. with the primary threat being hail and wind damage. These storms will form around 6-8 PM then push south and east exiting our region overnight. The associated cold front with the storms will bring in some cooler and refreshing air to our region for the extended forecast. High temperatures will remain around 70 throughout the weekend with mostly sunny skies expected. A few showers may be possible later Sunday and could linger into the nation’s birthday. Showers will be possible Tuesday and Wednesday but at this time it does not look as widespread as we have seen this past week. Below average temperatures look to continue into next week with a decent mix of clouds, showers and sunshine. Get outside and enjoy some of the brilliant sunshine in store for this weekend!
