Clear skies will be in store for this evening and much of Thursday with temperatures above average, soaring into the mid 80s away from the immediate shoreline. A stray shower or thunderstorm could be possible overnight Thursday into Friday, with the best chance for the central and western portions of the U.P. Friday afternoon, scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible for the afternoon and evening hours. Saturday, the threat for rain is more widespread across our region as a trough works through. A few rumbles of thunder may be possible, but at this time the severe threat is minimal. Sunday we clear out a bit, however some clouds will look to stick around. Temperatures Sunday through next week seem to be trending below average, which helps even out some of the record heat we have been seeing this week.
