ISLE ROYALE, Mich. (WZMQ) – At approximately 1:45 pm on Thursday, the Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Isle Royale National Park about a drowning.
According to a press release, the diver that drowned from from a charter dive boat. The incident happened while they were diving on the north side of Isle Royale.
The Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the National Park in the investigation.
The identity of the diver is not being released at this time, and family members are still being notified.
The incident remains under investigation, and WZMQ will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
