MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Northern Michigan University’s campus, wellness and mental well-being were highlighted through the United Conference. There was a wide variety of booths and keynote speakers for students, faculty, and community to learn from. Keynote speakers discussed ways to better understand psychological trauma, anxiety, as well as learn how to build confidence in healing from a situation.
One speaker mentioned that having these conferences helps push the conversation of wellness and health to those in the community who might not be aware of the services out there.
“This does indeed continue and I think at a University environment especially one that has a great focus on health and human services like Northern does I think it’s a perfect fit,” commented LGBTQ Keynote speaker Patrick Yankee.
