Megan O’Connor will keep you in the know on popular events and top of UP trends on What’s UP with Megan every Tuesday at 6 p.m. on WZMQ 19 News.
O’Connor joined WZMQ 19 in September 2022. Originally from Manistique, MI, Northern Michigan University (NMU) brought her to Marquette in 2015. There, she studied communications and minored in music. While in school, O’Connor enjoyed singing in operas, playing the harp, and singing through European cathedrals. O’Connor’s desire to help others flourish through the Student Leader Fellowship Program, and she helped create the NMU Food Pantry.
O’Connor works as the Director of Missionary Stewardship at the Diocese of Marquette. When she isn’t at the Diocese, you can find her volunteering in the community. She regularly volunteers at Marquette events, including Angry Bear, Blues Fest, Iron Range Roll, UP Veteran’s Fishing Day, etc. She is a South Shore Fishing Association member, Marquette Veteran Alliance, and Connect Marquette. Recently, she was awarded the Tom Baldoni Scholarship, recognizing local individuals who have shown an interest in community and civic engagement..
