DELTA COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – A woman was killed in an off-road vehicle crash in Delta County on Friday, according to Michigan State Police.

It was reported on 27.25 Rd. near KK Rd. in Nahma Township around 3:30 p.m.

Troopers found the victim – identified as LeeAnne Moore, 52, of Rapid River – dead underneath a Polaris Razr ORV, state police said. She was a passenger in the vehicle.

The driver, who is also from Rapid River, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to troopers.

Investigators said it appears the vehicle was heading west on 27.25 Rd. when a tire blew, causing the driver to lose control. The off-road vehicle then rolled over, ejecting both the driver and passenger.

Neither were wearing a seatbelt or helmet, and speed is believed to be a factor, state police said.
