Rapid River Farmers Market season in full swing

RAPID RIVER, Mich. (WZMQ) – Beneath the Masonville Township Park pavilion, local vendors have set up their stands with sweets and baked goods, along with various hand-carved utensils.

Similar to other farmers markets, most of their farm goods won’t be available until mid-July. Even so, market manager Rick Bricker says since opening on May 12, they’ve received record numbers already.

“This year, we set a record on opening day for turnout, which was really good to see,” said Bricker. “With the weather it’s been a bit slow, because we’ve had some really nasty, windy, cold days so far, but its going to pick up.”

The Rapid River Farmers Market is open Mondays and Thursdays, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. until October 16.
