NMU’s Wolfrath completes season at NCAA Championships

13th in 60 meter hurdles

INDIANAPOLIS – Ellyse Wolfrath of Northern Michigan track and field completed her indoor season on Friday afternoon, where she finished in 13th nationally in the 60m hurdles.

Wolfrath ran 8.49, the second-best time of her career. In one of the fastest fields in recent memory, it would have taken at least an 8.44 to advance to the final race tomorrow, consisting of eight runners. It was a stark difference from a season ago, where 8.58 advanced to the finals.

Minnesota State’s Grace Johnson (8.12) and Adeyah Brewster (8.14) had the top qualifying times.

Nonetheless, it was a memorable season for the senior from Hortonville, Wisconsin. She set a school record time of 8.46, was a GLIAC Champion, and recently named All-Region by the USTFCCCA.
