MDOT begins road resurfacing on M-95 after Memorial Day

SAGOLA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZMQ) – A little over six miles of M-95 in Dickinson County is set to be resurfaced starting Tuesday, May 30.

MDOT will work on6.1 miles of M-95 between the east and west junctions of M-69 near Sagola.

The $2.7 million project includes asphalt milling and resurfacing, asphalt shoulder widening, shoulder aggregate, and pavement markings. MDOT says the purpose is to extend the lifespan of the pavement and create a smoother drive for motorists.

Drivers can expect intermittent single-lane closures with traffic regulators.

Work is expected to wrap up in early August 2023.

MDOT anticipates the project to directly and indirectly support 33 jobs.
