Negaunee man sentenced to maximum of 15 years for child sexually abusive activity

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A Negaunee man will serve time in prison for child sex crimes.

In August of 2024, John Fitzgerald Anderson—then age 22—was arrested for viewing child pornography online. Police found digital evidence while searching his home.

Anderson was charged with nine counts of child sexually abusive activity. On Thursday, May 22, he was sentenced to 10 – 15 years in prison, with credit for 275 days served.
