MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Many boating accidents don’t have a happy ending, but two safety conscious boaters were uninjured when their boat flipped over. Sunday night, the US Coast Guard responded to a report of a capsized vessel with people in the water just offshore of the Marquette Lighthouse. The Coast Guard dispatched their 45 foot response boat, and quickly rescued two persons who were clinging to their overturned vessel. Both individuals were wearing their life jackets, ensuring their safety until help arrived.
