MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Dancing with our stars took to the Forest Roberts Theatre stage this evening for their 10th annual charity benefit.

8 couples competed for the title of most money raised for the Up Hospice Foundation. 100% of the money raised tonight goes directly to families in the care of hospice. This year’s title and theme is “Dancing With Our Stars, “All-Star Party Edition, where dancers were assigned a type of party to represent in their routines.

This year’s program will feature two nights of competition, with the finale taking place tomorrow night. The winner’s trophy is awarded to those couples who receive the highest vote totals from both nights, including the judges’ panel, audience members, and those voting online. For Karen and Ryan Kovacs, it’s a big commitment, but well worth it.

“Putting your heart and soul into it and having a good time at the same time, but really putting your heart and soul because the cause is worth every single injury, every single muscle pull, every single ounce of humility, yes, it’s really such a good cause,” exclaimed dancing star, Karen Kovacs.

Tomorrow’s show begins with a red carpet meet and greet at 5 pm in the Hedgecock Building, followed by the second night of competition beginning at 7.
