L’ANSE, Mich. (WZMQ) – After preliminary examinations this Tuesday, the driver of the semi that crashed into the Holiday gas station in L’Anse back in October has been formally charged with an additional felony and misdemeanor charge.
Tweny-two-year-old Dawaun Johnson from Illinois was previously charged with felony operating while intoxicated causing death. He is now also being charged with felony operating while intoxicated causing serious injury, and misdemeanor Alcohol- Open container in a vehicle.
A second preliminary examination is scheduled for Dec. 13.
