NMU Women’s Hoops adds three on National Signing Day

All three from Wisconsin

MARQUETTE, Mich. – Casey Thousand and the women’s basketball team have signed three Wisconsin guards to National Letters of Intent on National Signing Day 2024. Addison Baumgart, Haddie Showen, and Faith Walder will join the Wildcats as freshmen in 2025-26.

Casey Thousand on the class: “These three players will fit in great with our program. They all work extremely hard both on the court and in the classroom. They are tough players who understand what it takes to be successful. Each of them will add something special to our program. We are thrilled to have them be future Wildcats.”

Addison Baumgart | 6’1 | Guard | Kaukauna High School (WI)

Accomplishments:

Thousand on Baumgart: “Addison is a shooting guard who can rack up points fast from behind the arc. She runs the floor hard and isn’t afraid of contact. She adds height and length at our guard position and will be able to play multiple spots for us on the court.”

Haddie Showen | 5’10 | Point Guard | Westfield High School (WI)

Thousand on Showen: “Haddie is a great point guard who is an outstanding leader on the court. She is a coach’s daughter and her knowledge of the game is elite. She can score on the court from the three and make plays at the rim. Haddie will be an excellent fit within our program.”

Faith Walder | 5’6 | Point Guard | West De Pere High School (WI)

Thousand on Walder: “Faith is an excellent point guard. She distributes the ball all over the court and has explosive speed. She can score at multiple levels and takes pride in grabbing steals. Faith has great court awareness and will do great things for us.”
