Crystal Falls Township man arrested for discharging firearm in neighborhood dispute

CRYSTAL FALLS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZMQ) – A Crystal Falls Township man has been arraigned on multiple charges after discharging a firearm in a neighborhood dispute.

On June 17, the Iron County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a neighbor harassment complaint in Crystal Falls Township. Before deputies arrived on scene, they were advised that the situation had escalated, with one man discharging a firearm and retreating to his home.

Following an initial investigation, 72-year-old Jeffrey Lynn Jablonski was arrested without incident and lodged at the Iron County Correctional Facility. The Iron County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Michigan State Police (MSP) of Iron Mountain, the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office Drone Unit, Iron County Central Dispatch, and Aspirus EMS.

On June 18, Jablonski was arraigned on charges of assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and malicious destruction of fire or police property. His bond was set at $100,000 with conditions.
