GLADSTONE, Mich. (WZMQ) – May 11 is Mother’s Day, and Downtown Escanaba is getting a head start on the celebration with Spoil Mom Week.
Now through Sunday, participating businesses are offering sales and specials designed for mothers.
“It’s a great way to spoil mom,” said Nyman Jewelers Owner and Escanaba DDA Chairperson Sue Parker. “Come down, get her lunch, get a haircut—the sky’s the limit.”
Each business also has a prize drawing box set up inside. The grand prize is a $1,200 lab-grown diamond tennis bracelet from Nyman Jewelers.
“We just want to do something a little different,” Parker said. She laughed, “It’s a way to say ‘thank you’ to your mom for all the times that she didn’t tell dad!”
