MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – If you were anywhere near Marquette’s Lower Harbor today, you may have noticed the United States Coast Guard helicopter flying low above the water. The Coast Guard was conducting search and rescue training using their helicopter from Traverse City and watercraft from the Marquette Station. Both the aircrew and the team on the boat practiced water rescues as part of their regular training that ensures safety and proficiency when called upon in an emergency.
