ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – One man was taken into custody in Escanaba after police were called about a male subject hiding outside OSF Hospital with a rifle.
At approximately 12:26 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, the Escanaba Department of Public Safety responded to the report that a male subject was hiding near the entrance to the emergency room with a rifle.
Officers immediately made contact with the subject who made the call and took him into custody. No firearms were located.
The hospital was in a brief lockdown, which was lifted as soon as the determination of a threat was no longer present.
The subject that made the call is facing criminal charges.
