The United Way of Marquette County alongside volunteers from Yoopers United holds their monthly mobile food pantry every third Wednesday of each month. Community members line up in their vehicles to get food assistance from The Feeding America West Michigan Mobile Food Truck.
United Way works with Yoopers United, a volunteer group that works with that gathers volunteers for community events like The Mothers and Fathers Day Brunch, Pride Festival, and their monthly Feeding America food pantries in Marquette, Munising, Harvey, and Gwinn.
Next month, on June 15th The United Way will be at the Marquette County Community Resource Fair with their mobile food pantry alongside many other local organizations that will be working together to assist and support the Marquette community.
The Resource Fair is happening from 12 to 4 PM outside the Lakeview Arena in Marquette where they will help with:
Housing assistance
Food Assistance
Healthcare services
Utility Assistance
Senior services
Transport services
Children’s services
Mental health services
Women’s services
And Veterans assistance
The Feeding America Food Truck will be set up across from the Arena in the West Parking Lot of the Berry Event Center from 12 until 2 PM.
