PowerPlay Digital — one of the leading digital companies in the US, PR, USVI, Guam, Caribbean and Latin America — is hiring a National Political Sales Account Executive to be based in Washington, D.C.
The National Political Sales Account Executive will collaborate with our political team, responsible for Omnichannel sales (including CTV/OTT), TV and Radio sales, working closely with agencies and direct campaigns as an industry leading political expert.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial in spirit, can strategically grow advertising revenue across linear broadcast stations, digital O&O and Programmatic, through their strong relationships with agencies.
This role will report directly to EVP, Global Partnerships, and will work closely with the political sales team.
The National Political Sales Account Executive will:
- Work closely with our Political, Digital and Linear teams, strategically representing our portfolio of media properties, Digital, TV and radio.
- Building new and enhancing current relationships with key political agency decision makers and campaign managers.
- Delivering on our company mantra of client driven sales approach to ensure delivery on every campaign.
- Build and leverage strategic relationships with the key Political Media buying, Digital leads and Direct contacts (PACs & Parties) in DC and key POL agencies (DC, CH, AT, OH, LA, TX).
- Responsible for advertising sales that lead to multiplatform partnerships, driving innovation, and delivering meaningful results for customers.
- Represent and sell digital O&O and CTV inventories to drive incremental revenue on existing campaigns.
- Collaborate with multiple sales departments to maximize success.
- Experience with Wide Orbit Traffic and Wide Orbit Media Sales preferred.
- Work alongside leadership to implement political forecasts and deliver on projections.
- Deep knowledge of the Political ecosystem, political campaign cycles and how established relationships with political buyers.
Requirements & Skills
- Deep relationships with the Political Marketplace of customers (Media agencies, Digital Media agencies & Direct Clients)
- BS/BA degree is preferred or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum five years’ experience in Political media sales.
- Identify opportunities to establish new innovative multiplatform media and PowerPlay Digital partnerships.
- Experience in strategic multiplatform media sales with digital sales preferred.
- Extraordinarily strong analysis and data interpretation – able to translate needs and research data into sound marketing proposals.
Annual Compensation: $125,500 – $145,300 (dependent on the position offered, experience of candidate, other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package including base salary, commission and bonus)
